With all the importance placed on getting the hair right, making sure skin is in great condition and perfecting your make up, you can be forgiven for forgetting to look after finer details, like your nails. You don’t want to leave nail care for the night before to realize how important it is towards the build up of your big day.
If your real nails are just not in good enough condition, take the easy option and fake it! Here is a lowdown of the nail options available are your fingertips.

Acrylic nails

A false nail is fixed midway up the natural nail. It is then buffed to remove any ridges and filled into shape. The nails are then coated with a mixture of a special powder and paste that is moulded into shape. To give a finish nails needs to be buffed, smoothed and polished. They are strongest and most durable choice of overlay and if applied correctly, can look thin and natural.

Gel nails

These are most popular choice of nails as the finish can be almost like your natural nails. The expert applies a thick polish gel to the nail and sets it under ultraviolet light which hardens to leave you with a strong and shiny set of nails. When applied and removed professionally, gels will do a little damage to your natural nails. Gel gives the natural and light weight finish – ideal for those with broken or weak nails.

Fibre glass nails

This option is not as popular as gels and acrylic but is a great option for those who have nails that break easily. The application involves fibre strips being cut into the desired shape and glued to the nail plate. It is perfect option for someone with brittle nails and who wants to adds some strength to it.
Although the artificial nails are crafted so skilfully and so elegantly that sometime it becomes difficult to distinguish an artificial nail from the real one. But artificial nail can never substitute natural nail so it is always better to keep natural nails with proper care.
